Not sure if your situation is serious enough to call? Here’s the short answer: if you’re in pain, something has broken, or you’re worried, that’s enough. We’d rather talk you through it than have you wait it out alone.
Call us at (818) 839-7475, our team will assess your situation and get you in the same day.
Every emergency visit at Verdugo Hills Dental Group follows the same approach. Dr. Hakopyan examines the tooth, explains exactly what’s happening in plain language, and walks you through your options clearly – before anything happens. You stay in control of every decision.
No pressure. No surprises. Just the care you need, explained clearly.
No pressure. No pushy sales. Just expert dental care focused on you.
You shouldn’t have to manage a dental emergency with painkillers and hope. At Verdugo Hills Dental Group, we’ve kept same-day appointments available for emergency patients since 2008. Dr. Hakopyan has handled everything from knocked-out teeth to severe infections — and every patient leaves knowing exactly what happened and what comes next.
Most major insurance plans are accepted, including Aetna, Guardian, Delta Dental, Blue Cross, MetLife, and Humana. Our team will verify your coverage before treatment begins so there are no billing surprises. No insurance? We’ll walk you through your options.
Proudly serving patients from Glendale, La Crescenta, Tujunga, Sunland, La Cañada Flintridge, Montrose, and Shadow Hills.
Call us as early in the day as possible at (818) 839-7475. We keep emergency slots available and will do everything we can to see you the same day you call. Same-day care is available Monday through Friday during regular office hours.
Pick it up by the crown — not the root. Rinse it gently with water without scrubbing. If possible, place it back in the socket or keep it in a small container of milk. Call us immediately at (818) 839-7475. Time matters significantly with knocked-out teeth — the sooner you’re seen, the better the chance of saving it.
The goal of every emergency visit is to relieve your pain, not add to it. Dr. Hakopyan uses local anesthetic before any treatment, and our team moves at your pace. If you have dental anxiety, let us know when you call — we’ll make sure your visit is as comfortable as possible.
Our current hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 10am–6pm, Wednesday 11am–7pm, and Friday 9am–5pm. If your emergency occurs outside these hours and involves a serious injury, swelling, or difficulty breathing or swallowing, visit your nearest emergency room. For non-life-threatening situations, call our number and leave a message — we check messages regularly and will contact you first thing the following morning.
If the pain is severe, getting worse, keeping you up at night, or accompanied by swelling — yes, treat it as an emergency and call us. A toothache that’s being ignored rarely gets better on its own, and waiting often leads to more complex and more expensive treatment down the line.
Most dental insurance plans cover emergency exams and a portion of emergency treatments. We accept Aetna, Guardian, Delta Dental, Blue Cross, MetLife, Humana, and many other major providers. Our team will check your benefits before treatment begins so you know exactly what to expect.
